My friend Hoda and I headed to Myeongdong market street on one of our last days in Seoul. There were so many shops located in one area and it was so crowded, which is something I usually dislike, but I actually found it to be quite fun. We bought a lot of things, especially shoes, from a store called ABC Market. My favorite thing by far, however, had to be the food. There were food stalls located everywhere. We first ate strawberry daifuku and it was very delicious, then I had lobster for the first time (see picture)! The streets were bustling with life and if you ever were looking to buy something specific, you would probably find it here. We even had the chance to listen to a street performer!.

Busan (Gamcheon culture village)

When we arrived at Busan we had the opportunity to visit Gamcheon culture village. It was very pleasant as we finally had some leisure time. I mostly stayed at a souvenir shop nearby and bought a keychain in the shape of a soju bottle. There were many stores at the sides of the street and many things to see. I even went to a food stall and bough milk tea boba(bubble tea). It was interesting to see that things like were parts of other people's daily lives as people seemed like they had so many activities to do, a variety of things to see and a lot of things to buy.

The Hyundai Motor Studio

We visited the Hyundai Motor Studio, which displayed a multitude of cars and all of their various designs. There were a lot of models to see and they even let you get in the cars! In the upstairs area there were little toy models of roads and cars. There was even an area for kids to color and play around in. The employees explained and gave us a lot of detail regarding their newest car model. Things such as engine specifications, the design of the vehicle, etc. They even displayed a welcome message on the screen for our university which was unexpected but nice.

Namsan Tower

Our first destination in Seoul was Namsan tower. It was a beautiful, but cold morning. I really enjoyed looking at my surroundings, which is something I often did during this trip. We had to use a cable car to get to the tower and once we got there, we saw that there was quite a few things you can see. You had the option of going to the gift shop and maybe buying gifts for family and friends, you can go to the Hello Kitty store and buy something from there, you can get your picture drawn by one of the artists from the multitude of booths outside or you can head to the observatory on the top of the tower.  I decided to simply walk around and observe my surrounding. I did, however, go to the gift shop and the Hello Kitty store. The gift shop was not all that memorable but I especially enjoyed the Hello Kitty store, mostly because the whole store was designed and exued a Hello Kitty-esque atmosphere.  It was a very fun place to be and was a nice experience.
